Developing self-love and compassion through observing thoughts

Self-love and compassion can be cultivated by listening to our thoughts as an observer, similar to how we naturally offer love and compassion to others. By listening to our inner dialogue and recognizing the negativity, we can start to shift towards a more compassionate perspective towards ourselves. It is important to create distance from our thoughts by viewing them as a separate entity, allowing us to question the validity of the thoughts and engage in conversations with our inner voice. Developing the ability to observe our thoughts from a third-party perspective can lead to a deeper understanding that the voice in our head is not our true self.
