Perceptions of success are increasingly narrow and exclusive, often reserved for a select few who achieve visible triumphs. The rise of social media has democratized fame and recognition, allowing anyone to pursue notoriety from any setting. This accessibility leads many to engage in self-promotion, even outside of social media environments like LinkedIn. As a result, there is a cultural shift towards valuing personal accomplishments as an essential measure of success, where individuals feel the need to validate their achievements independent of external judgment.
