NOTE

Life's Worth is Beyond Pleasure and Pain

Life's worth cannot simply be measured through the dichotomy of pleasure and pain, as such an assessment fails to encapsulate the complexity of moral experiences. Recognizing that both pleasure and pain can embody good or evil challenges the reductionist view that ties moral value solely to hedonic experiences. This implies that the essence of existence may not center around maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain but instead revolves around the pursuit of a heroic adventure, which could encompass truths and personal growth. In the absence of genuine adventure in life, individuals may find themselves lured towards superficial alternatives, such as ideologies that falsely promise fulfillment, yet they do not address the deeper, intrinsic call to adventure.
