The Power of Writing for Thinking and being disciplined about it

Writing is a powerful tool for thinking and figuring things out. It forces you to spend time and crystallize your thoughts. Even if you don't have a foreseeable need for the content you're writing, capture and write it anyway, because it may become invaluable in the future. To get writing done, it requires ruthlessness of time and prioritization. You have to say no to most things and be disciplined about finding even small pockets of time to write, no matter the length. Without discipline, it is difficult to fit writing into a busy schedule.
