Ep. 304: Seinfeld on The Deep Life
Deep Questions with Cal Newport
Tools and Creative Writing Productivity
The improvement of tools does not necessarily lead to authors producing better writing as the creative process is more about original thinking, constructing ideas, developing a unique voice, and creating original content. The tools only play a role in the final stage of recording the work. Creative productivity differs from process productivity, and knowledge workers are closer to creatives like Seinfeld and Hemingway than to repetitive processes like in a factory. Focusing on process productivity does not directly impact the quantity or quality of high-quality creative output.
