One key to happiness is not to look for it
The insight is that happiness, love, and success cannot be found by actively searching for them. Instead, happiness is a byproduct of fully engaging in life, being present in the moment, and focusing on the task at hand or on others. Negative emotions can be a sign to redirect attention towards the needs and well-being of others. The secret to finding oneself is through being of service to others, as focused self-help can be counterproductive. True self-discovery happens in the midst of meaningful connections with others.
