The Davidic Covenant and the Coming of Jesus

The Davidic Covenant is a promise made by God to David that his kingdom will last forever. Jesus, who comes from David's lineage, is like David as he is pursued by an ungodly king but refuses to use worldly power. Unlike David, Jesus is killed by the ungodly king, but three days later, he conquers the grave and becomes the king of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus came for all souls who are bent on their own way of life, offering long-term joy and fulfillment. Surrendering to God and embracing the gospel is the first step in the pathway from solid to David.
