During sleep, our brain consolidates memories, making it easier to remember what we have learned. Memory consolidation is more effective when studying is spread out over time rather than crammed into one session. Additionally, during sleep, our brain also engages in D learning, a process where it focuses on getting rid of certain information, especially emotional experiences, prioritizing this over the formation of new memories.
