NOTE

How to Slow Down Your Breathing Rate

Breathing too fast and predominantly through the mouth is common, but it is recommended to breathe predominantly through the nose and slow down the breathing rate. Through practice and breath-holding exercises, without actively trying to slow down breathing, the respiratory rate naturally decreases. Monitoring the number of breath cycles per minute, aiming for below 10 cycles, can indicate good respiratory health. Factors like stress, altitude, and daily rhythms can influence respiratory rate variation, but a rate below 10 cycles is generally considered beneficial.
