When we ask people to talk about things or groups or ideas that they really hated, they would say it's something that's connected to their morality. And so they feel morally justified in hating that group. But when we went to actual real hate group websites that were judged hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, we coded the content on their websites. That was actually the same logic and rhetoric that they used. Whether these were like white supremacist groups would say the same thing.
