Interpreting Prophecies in Haggai

The prophecies in Haggai, particularly regarding the shaking of nations and the glory of the house of God, are interpreted in the New Testament in reference to the heavenly temple and kingdom. The New Testament does not anticipate the literal rebuilding of the physical temple in Jerusalem but rather the establishment of a new temple in the heavenly Jerusalem as part of the new heaven and earth.
