Even though piracy did not destroy the market for digital assets, the demand for digital goods is at an all-time high due to the constant thirst for digital content. Top tier musicians are making more money now because of the widespread use of mobile devices. While many aspects of our lives are now digital, the ownership of digital assets is questioned. The distinction lies between items stored on personal devices versus those on the internet, where ownership becomes unclear if data is solely on online servers.
