Glucose is the primary sugar in our blood and the main fuel our body uses, but chronically high levels can lead to diabetes. On the other hand, fructose is found in natural fruit, but it is also a major component of table sugar and high fructose corn syrup, which are often added to foods. The majority of fructose in our diet comes from these added sugars, rather than from natural fruit.
