NOTE

Understanding the Three Box Model

The Three Box Model explains human responses by categorizing them into three boxes. Box number three represents the response to a situation, consisting of emotions and feelings like anxiety, embarrassment, or preoccupation. To understand and change box number three, one must identify and alter the contents of box number two, known as automatic thoughts, which are quick, powerful, and often unconscious thoughts preceding emotions. Box number one is the objective situation that triggers automatic thoughts and responses. By recognizing and modifying these three boxes, individuals can effectively change their reactions and behaviors for the better.
