Data Collection for Tesla FSD 12
Tesla collects data for Full Self-Driving (FSD) 12 by tracking their best drivers with five cameras, who have opted into the program and upload videos overnight. Users are uploading massive amounts of data, such as 10 gigabytes per night or 115 gigabytes in a month. The scale of data collection is immense, requiring substantial Wi-Fi infrastructure. With five million cars driving 30 miles a day with eight cameras at five megapixels each, the volume of data being uploaded is enormous.
