God's Demand for Obedience in Genesis
In the story of Abraham, God takes the initiative to create a relationship and bring salvation. The Abrahamic covenant is a picture of God's grace, where he takes on the covenant promises himself. However, God still demands obedience from us. The problem is that no one can perfectly obey. The solution is that God provides his Son, who takes on our humanity and obeys for us. This Son, as the head of the new covenant, achieves salvation through his life, death, and resurrection.
