The Economist: Kissinger on avoiding world war

The Intelligence from The Economist

NOTE

Henry Kissinger on Kant, peace, and optimism

Peace will come about either through human understanding or through catastrophic events. Kant did not guarantee peace by reason. Kissinger is fundamentally optimistic due to his difficult life, which gives ground for optimism. He believes in inspiring the younger generation with faith in the future.
