Democrats vs. Republicans in Cult of Personality

Democrats, unlike Republicans, do not view their leaders as a cult of personality. Joe Biden does not garner blind devotion from Democrats, unlike how Republicans solidified behind former President Trump despite his conviction in a jury trial of multiple felonies. This difference is evident in the lack of calls for Trump to step aside compared to the calls for Biden to do so. The distinct approach towards leadership within the two parties is highlighted just under four months before the election.
