Contradictions and transitions in society are like ripples in history. Peasants in the US have been turned into symbolized peasants, lacking coordination and social bonds due to social isolation. The class process and capitalist system prevent the reassertion of peasant values. Our atomized social lives limit our ability to think beyond capitalist systems.
