The Definition of Kidney Damage
An objective finding of some kidney damage, and that could be abnormal imaging. So there's EGFR maybe perfectly normal, but you identified an objective finding consistent with kidney damage. You have a GFR that's less than 60 for more than three months. It has to be present for a minimum of three months. The second part of the definition is an objective finding of abnormality such as cysts on their kidney or new hydroenterphrosis.
