NOTE

Analyzing the relationship between workload and blood lactate levels in different groups

The first graph shows the relationship between workload in watts and blood lactate levels. Individuals with metabolic syndrome have a resting lactate level of almost 2 millimole, while well-trained individuals start with lower levels. A lactate level of about 2 millimole is considered a threshold where individuals move from zone two to zone three. As workload increases, individuals with metabolic syndrome quickly surpass this threshold compared to moderately trained and professional athletes. The graph does not account for weight differences among athletes, which could potentially impact the results when normalized by weight.
