TIP606: Multi-Bagger First Principles w/ Ian Cassel
We Study Billionaires - The Investor’s Podcast Network
Real Multi-Baggers in the Public Market Space
The insight is that companies can achieve significant growth and become multi-baggers without reaching billion-dollar revenues. For example, a company increased its sales from 21 million to 66 million and earnings from 1 million to 7 million over 14 years, resulting in a 14 bagger with 65% market share in pesto sauce. Another company had a market cap of 700,000 and grew its revenues from 1 million to 28 million and earnings from zero to 6 million, resulting in a 130 bagger in 14 years. This demonstrates that multi-baggers can emerge from companies increasing sales from 10 million to 30 million and earnings from 2 million to 5 million without extreme growth or dilution.
