Reducing fossil fuel dependency is not feasible due to limited alternatives for fuel, the widespread use of gasoline in automobiles, and the impracticality of completely stopping the use of fossil fuels. Pressuring companies through moral or financial means to abandon the fossil fuel industry is deemed ineffective as profit-making is the primary goal of businesses and a significant portion of fossil fuel supply is controlled by nation states.
