Measuring the impact of brand keyword advertising, the researchers found that removing ads led to an increase in organic search visits and purchases. They conducted experiments and discovered that when there was no competition for their brand, organic search became the preferred choice. Other studies also showed that people ignore ads and go directly to the desired website. Brand keyword advertising is therefore considered a waste of money.
