In live conversations, pausing to listen and understand the other person gives you an advantage. However, people often don't do this due to nervousness, fear of appearing weak or losing momentum. Counteracting this, you can paraphrase or ask a question to regain the opportunity to speak if someone interrupts when you pause.
Today I've invited Matt Abraham's to the show. Matt is a lecturer at Stanford, he specializes in the essentials of strategic communication, and is the host of the Think Fast Talk Smart podcast. I reached out to Matt to issue a friendly challenge, by way of an invitation, to think fast and talk smart on this podcast. By the end of this episode, you will be able to make your communication more memorable.
