NOTE

End-to-End Flow of Traffic in Kubernetes Mesh with Weighful Proxy

Control plane metrics are gaining significance in Kubernetes. In a setup with two pods on different nodes and an L7 policy, waypoint proxy, and Z-summer, the flow starts with the client sending a request to the server through the Kubernetes service. Redirect rules on the host route the traffic to the Z tunnel for policy application and destination lookup. If the traffic is in the mesh with a waypoint deployed, it goes to the waypoint proxy for L7 policy application and telemetry points, before reaching the server pod at the receiving end.
