Nichi is in favor of western society moving on without god, but he understands it's terribly risky. And the greatest risk of all is the risk of nihilism. People don't really understand nichi. Sometimes theyl say, oh, nichi, he was a nihilist. Oh, that would just break poor old nici's heart. That's what his whole philosophical project was how to believe in something without believing in god.
