NOTE

The Convincing and Odd Power of the Incarnate God Story

The story of God becoming one of us, dying and rising to save us from sins is weird and convincing. Paul acknowledged it as folly to the Greeks and a stumbling block to the Jews, yet that's the convincing power of it. The Holy Spirit, not aggressive thinking, is what convicts us in this relationship with God. God cannot coerce us; he wants to be our friend. Profound things like this story are often a little murky and obscure, unlike clear shallow religious beliefs.
