Accuracy of Sell Side Estimates on Large Cap Stocks
Sell side estimates on large cap stocks are rarely significantly off track, typically occurring once a decade. When an analyst's projections exceed the views of the street, the stock tends to rise. As the street catches up or surpasses the analyst's projections, the stock becomes more likely to perform in line with the market. Nevertheless, there are cases where estimations can be either excessively overvalued or undervalued.
