The Role of Assistive Technology in Digital Literacy

Digital accessibility and digital literacy are two terms that are often confused with each other. Digital accessibility refers to web and document accessibility, while digital literacy focuses on how to effectively use digital tools. These concepts are closely related and coincide with assistive technology, such as screen readers and voice input systems. Making something screen reader accessible is a high bar to reach and ensures compatibility with most assistive technology tools.
