Mike initially split his time between events before dedicating himself to Soul Survivor full-time, with many young people joining Youth for Christ for outreach and evangelism in Watford. Soul Survivor Watford was in its early stages, holding meetings and events in front rooms and a local school. Teenagers from Newwine would then join Soul Survivor Watford, engaging in street evangelism and mission work. This period also marked the emergence of key figures and the influential Toronto Blessing, which contributed to the shaping of the contemporary worship scene.
