Solomon's Heart Turns to Other Gods

When Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart toward other gods. He worshipped Ash Toreth and Millcom, angering the Lord. Solomon even built altars for Chimosh and Molach, the gods of Moab and Ammon. The Lord was furious with Solomon for disobeying His commandments, and He decided to take away Solomon's kingdom. However, He would wait until after Solomon's death because of the promise He made to David, Solomon's father.
