The concept of freedom is assumed but not always evident in various aspects of life. Vivekananda emphasizes that we have transitioned from freedom to bondage and will return to freedom. While our bodies are bound by causality, our true nature is free. The path to realizing this freedom involves understanding our true selves, overcoming attachment to worldly desires, and choosing between the path of negation or direct realization of our real nature.
"From whom this universe comes, in whom it rests, and to whom it goes; and the answer has been given that from freedom it comes, in bondage it rests, and goes back into that freedom again." Inspired by Swami Vivekananda's Karma Yoga, Swami Sarvapriyananda speaks on the chapter on 'Freedom'.
