Imaginable Augmentations of Reality
Corban's criticism highlighted the need to integrate the imaginal realm, distinct from the imaginary, with romanticism. This interaction creates the transjective, binding the subjective and objective, as well as the sensual and conceptual. Religions can be viewed as imaginable augmented realities, similar to using virtual reality to enhance perception of physical reality. Just like a fighter pilot's heads-up display overlays additional information not present in the external environment, religions serve to enhance interactions with reality.
