Is There a Tracking Theory?
One view is that intentionality is grounded in consciousness, so the nonconscious robot doesn't have it. One leading opposing view is that would say the non conscious robot does have intentionality. So what do they ground intentionality in? One common view is king i, for which you don't need consciousness. The tracking theory says that basically a intentionality,. at bottom, at least them basic or fundamental or original kind of intentionality, is a matter of being causally sensitive to and carrying information about its environment.
