Adam and Eve chose to be their own gods, leading to their expulsion from the garden. Centuries later, Pilate unwittingly echoes this sentiment when he presents Jesus, crowned with thorns, and declares, 'behold the man.' This moment reveals man as God intended and is further illuminated by Jesus' death on the cross, when he cries out, 'my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'
