Navigating Tensions and Problem Passages in Reading the Bible

Our trust in the Bible stems from our trust in Jesus Christ. Reading the Bible means letting the Bible read us, and asking ourselves what we feel in response to what we're reading and why. Avoiding or ignoring parts of the Scripture that we disagree with or don't understand is a crisis of faith waiting to happen. Tensions in the Bible are invitations to deeper intimacy with God.
