The Difference Between Writers who Write for Content vs. Money
According to Schopenhauer, there are two types of writers: those who write to share meaningful ideas and experiences, and those who write solely for money. The latter produce vague and unclear work, filling pages just to cover them. Schopenhauer urges readers to ignore such books and value those written for the sake of meaningful content. He criticizes business writers who churn out numerous books on the same topic, considering them unworthy. He also dislikes news and journalists, claiming that writing for gain leads to poor quality writing influenced by the public's demand for recent publications.
