Moral courage is the willingness to defy immoral orders, reject authoritarian control, and stand up for truth, freedom, and justice. Acts of moral courage may come with mild risks like being ridiculed or insulted, but these are small prices to pay for doing what is right. In some cases, acts of moral courage may come with more severe risks like loss of employment, physical or financial penalties, imprisonment, or even death.
