This shift led to the rise of image sharing and video-focused platforms like Vine, musically, and Snapchat in the mid-2010s. Many early bloggers either pivoted to visual mediums, ceased their activities, or aged out of blogging due to its demanding nature. Additionally, the rise of massive platforms led to a uniformity in appearance and a loss of individuality as compared to the personalized experience of visiting individual blogs during the blogging era.
