Ensuring Data Consistency and Delivery Semantics in Database Connectors
To ensure data consistency in database connectors, one can introduce artificial changes to the database to account for situations where there are no updates. When working with delivery semantics without Kafka, the choice of connectors determines the approach. For instance, using a Kafka sync connector provides exactly one semantics ensuring no event duplication in case of a crash. However, using a non-transactional sync may result in at least once semantics, potentially causing event duplication in case of an unclean shutdown.
