The journey of life involves going through darkness before seeing the light. In the story of Job, the concept is emphasized as individuals choose to go through mortality, experiencing opposition, and darkness. However, through prayer and seeking help from God, the light can be revealed. The experience of darkness may not be apparent at first, as in the story where the man realizes he was in a dark and dreary waste only after following another person. This journey symbolizes the process of recognizing and confronting darkness before gaining understanding and seeing the light.
How did we forget the Lord? Dr. Gaye Strathearn examines key questions, ideas, and context to encourage understanding of Lehi’s Dream and Nephi’s Vision.
