Racism is not disqualifying, but its impacts are
Although racism is not considered disqualifying for Donald Trump, as it is expected due to the systemic nature of it, the impacts of his racist rhetoric and policies are what black folks find intolerable. The tolerance threshold is breached when racial violence, like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, and policies like putting kids in cages or restricting access to venture capital for black women, pose real risks to black lives and undo progress made.
