String Theory: A Stepping Stone in our Understanding
String theory is not a matter of being right or wrong, but rather a stepping stone/nYang-Mills theory was initially thought to describe the relationship between the proton and the neutron, but it turned out to be wrong and describes everything else in the standard model instead/nEinstein's theory of general relativity had an early version that was incomplete, but he understood key principles/nWe always keep finding new wrinkles in string theory and we're always going to be less wrong with each advancement/nThe speaker has a farm and is confident enough to bet it
