Positive psychology and social relationships are important for bringing out the best in ourselves and others. While Aristotle's writings on eudomonia focused on virtues, he didn't emphasize social relationships. However, virtues like kindness do relate to others. Research shows that social connection is crucial for our health and well-being throughout our lives. Additionally, relating to others through acts of service, altruism, and compassion brings even greater benefits. A study found that volunteers who went through stressful experiences had better health outcomes compared to non-volunteers.
