How To Choose Our Concerns

Practical Stoicism

NOTE

Limiting Concern to Local Action

We should distinguish between caring about something and concerning ourselves with something. While we may care about global issues, it is impractical and ineffective to concern ourselves with all of them. Instead, we should focus on proximal issues where we can be more effectual in playing an active role in bringing about change, as there is a limit to how many things we can truly concern ourselves with.
