In modern warfare, there is a shift towards using AR for real-time interpretation of video and audio on the battlefield. The changing nature of warfare requires controlling the signals emitted to avoid detection by adversaries using electromagnetic warfare tactics. The shift is towards collaborative planning in small units using AR and VR while constantly moving to evade detection, as stationary units are vulnerable. AR and VR usage is expected to be critical in enhancing operational effectiveness and situational awareness in dynamic and unpredictable battlefield scenarios, compared to traditional large operation centers.
