Napoleon's Leadership Turns the Tide of Battle

In the face of defeat, Napoleon remains calm and jokes with his commanders. Despite his men being on the verge of running, his exceptional leadership keeps them in line. Just as the French are about to break, General de Saile arrives with reinforcements. Napoleon declares that they have retreated far enough and the Austrians charge expecting exhausted troops, but instead encounter fresh troops and additional artillery. The Austrians are quickly counter charged and the battlefield gained in a day is lost in an hour, resulting in their rout.
