NOTE

The importance of glucose variability and transient spikes in blood sugar levels

Looking at the variability of glucose levels, it seems that less variability is better. However, the question of whether transient spikes have downsides remains unanswered. Keeping glucose spikes below 140-150 is considered better than letting them go above 200. The frequency of spikes is probably the least important metric to consider. In clinical experience, suggesting patients to avoid spikes and keep their average glucose at 100 with a standard deviation below 15 has shown positive results.
