The absence of Toby on the boat in a scene of 'The Office' was explained by a deleted scene where he arrived late and Michael and the others left him behind. The writers, including Toby, often made excuses for why he was absent to help with production. Rob Riggle also broke character during a safety speech scene, but kept going despite laughing.
